Sixes organisers are looking at a number of new
ideas and features to raise the excitement bar
for this year's 15th Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament.
“The Hong Kong Sixes has always been at the cutting
edge of innovation in world cricket . For example
we were one of the first cricket tournaments in
the world to have live ball-by-ball internet coverage
at the 1996 Sixes. The Sixes was also the first
pro tournament to have batsmen crossing on the
field to speed the action up, which is now a feature
in T20,” said Tournament Director Mark Burns. “We're
looking at several innovations for this year including
a special Sixes 'Umpire Decision Review System'
and the possibility of a new qualifying knock-out
tournament on the Friday,” Mark said.
“Whatever we do, the focus is always on enhancing
the entertainment and excitement for Sixes fans
at the ground and on TV around the world. We don't
have a monopoly on ideas and welcome input to the
Sixes Brainstorm from fans with exciting innovations
they would like to see at the Sixes” he continued.

Brainstorm by emailing ideas@hkcricketsixes.com
